On June 9th, 2017 it was announced that I received the second place in this multi-art contest, with my picture of the Stubnerkogel suspension bridge. The first prize was taken by Remo Castiglioni with an oil painting. 

The motivation for the selection of my work was the following: "Dialogue is represented by a photographic emotion which bears a message of universal union - Humanity. [The image] expresses an immediate strength of character, underlying a position against all walls and in favour of dialogue, to represent an emotional bond through bridges construction. Which provide value to the Being" 

In the original Italian text: "il dialogo rappresentato da un´emozione fotografica, che con un messaggio di unione universale - l´Umanita´ - esprime un´immediata forza caratteriale, mettendo in risalto il vero pensiero contro i muri, dando vita al dialogo e costituendo un´emozionante legame, attraverso la costruzione dei ponti. Che danno valore all´Essere."

The competition took place at Legnano, in the Milan Metropolitan Area, at the Cultural Association "Antonello da Messina". The ten best works were further exhibited at the ancient Archibishop Palace "Leone da Perego" in the same town.

Directed by Marco Rossanino (Teatro dell'Ora Esatta, Turin, Italy), the vernissage features a recitation of texts from "The Invisible Cities" by the Italian writer Italo Calvino, accompanied by a large size projection of my photographs. Incredibly intense acting is performed by the amatorial actors of the Unicredit Milan Theatre Group. Calvino's original text is recited in Italian by Roberto Galli Balestreri, Antonio Gentile, Benedetto Merlini,  Enza Latella, Anna Pilotti, Federico Pirola, MArco Rossanino and Jole Rossi.

Twenty black and white photos from my projects "Water". "Windows", "A Life Journey", "Invisible Cities" and "Make Bridge, Not Wall" are on display.  The event takes place at the premises of "Circolo Unicredit", in Viale Liguria, Milano, Italy. Thanks also to Mariano Carrese - director of the hosting association. The exhibition closed on May 31st, 2017.

Directed by Marco Rossanino (Teatro dell'Ora Esatta, Turin, Italy), the vernissage features a recitation of texts from "The Invisible Cities" by Italo Calvino accompanied by a large size projection of my photographs. Each actor proposes the text both in his/her own native language and in English, for common understanding:  Claudia Chiaraluce (Italian), Przemek Dubis (Polish), Raji Fernando (Italian), Arpad Marton (Hungarian), Ksenia Marus (Russian), Sabine Kaindl (German), Costin Simion (Romanian) and Gerald Weber (German). The exhibition is also an excuse to collect money for the cities hit by the earthquake in the Centre of Italy in 2016.

The event takes place in the Bank Austria Academy premises in Kaiserwasser, Vienna, Austria. Thanks also to Diana Wolf, who first gave me the idea of exhibiting in this space, Thomas Schweder - director of the Kaiserwasser Centre, to the local staff, Karin, Ulriche and Markus and to the Italian journalist Mila Cataldo, who covered the event in her column "Lettere da Vienna" on Tgcom.24 by Mediaset.  The exhibition closed on Dec. 23rd, 2016.

In this occasion I present 3 photographs, two of which from my project "WINDOWS". The softly printed chiaroscuro is the main reason of the appreciation by the curator of the exhibition, the painter Maestro Santo Nania. 

The third picture being a dynamic studio portrait.

Eight artists present their work at this exhibition from Jan 23rd, 2016 to Feb. 4th, 2016 in the Exhibition Space of the "Antonello da Messina" Association at Legnano (Milano), Italy.

In this occasion I present the first 6 pictures of my project "WATER".

The XI edition of this contest is sponsored by the Dipartimento Interaziendale per le Cure Palliative e per la Terapia del Dolore, Azienda ospedaliera "G. Salvini" at Garbagnate (Milano), Italy and organized by the Associazione Arte Cultura e Comunicazione"Antonello da Messina" at Legnano (Milan), Italy.

My photo "Ci vuole poco" (It takes so little), got the third prize, which was an incredible satisfaction for me participating in an art contest for the first time.

Two of my pictures were selected as part of a new decoration project in the bank.  The pictures selected were "Tempus fugit", taken in the Moscow metro and "Open-air Dancing", taken on the embarkment of the Moscow River at Gorky Park.
